Western Asia also includes Bahrain, Cyprus, Iraq, Israel, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Occupied Palestinian Territory, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Syrian Arab Republic, Turkey,United Arab Emirates and Yemen. Interestingly, it does not include Iran, which is part of south-central Asia.
